STEP 1 - CHOOSE A CLASS

TUESDAY EVENING ADULT WORKSHOP

This 4 week ON CAMERA workshop focuses on a specific audition technique designed to ensure callbacks for the actor. The workshop encompasses every aspect of the commercial industry. It is held on 4 tuesdays of each month from 7:30pm-9:30pm and the cost is $300. Because I teach a SPECIFIC technique over the four weeks, actors from all levels of experience will benefit. This workshop is also a SHOWCASE! I put a dvd together of the last class and present it to 6 different commercial casting directors! Class size is limited to ensure proper camera time.

THURSDAY EVENING "CALLBACK" WORKSHOP

This 4 week ON CAMERA workshop was designed at the request of agents and commercial directors. Each week is dedicated to recreating a different aspect of the callback scenario. This workshop is TOTALLY UNIQUE in los angeles. This is not for the beginner, nor people that are not represented by an agent/manager. It was created for those seasoned actors that are in a "slump" or for those actors that receive a steady number of callbacks, but their bookings are not proportionate. THE LAST WEEK IS AN AUDITION IN FRONT OF ACTUAL COMMERCIAL CASTING DIRECTORS!! It runs 4 Thursdays per month and is $350. Class size is limited.

IMPROV FOR COMMERCIALS

This 4 week workshop concentrates on the art of IMPROVISATION as it is connected with the commercial world. It will be held on Saturday afternoons from 12pm until 2:30pm. Although it is technically illegal to be asked to improv during a commercial audition/callback, EVERY SINGLE audition i went on as an actor or worked in casting in '07 required the actor to improv in order to book the job!! THIS IS A SKILL YOU CAN NOT AFFORD NOT TO KNOW!! I am partnering with Alex Burke of Second City. He will teach the improv section of the workshop and i will link it to the commercial world. IMPROV in commercials is not just about "the funny". This is a truly fun and informative four weeks. The class will be limited to 12 actors per month and is only $275!

THE REFRESHER CLASSES

I do not believe there are "levels" to the commercial training process. Unlike other workshops that are designed to be a money pit for the actor, I teach you everything you need to know in 4 weeks. However, experience comes with practice. It is just like going to the gym. The refresher classes are held on Sunday afternoons from 12:30 - 2:00pm for those actors that have already completed one of the 4 week workshops. We work with actual commercial copy from my office. This is a great place to practice what you have learned. These are not mandatory, actors can come whenever they feel it is warranted. I strongly urge actors to take advantage of the refreshers. I put great thought into each of them. They are extremely challenging and we have a BLAST working it out each week. Class size is limited to 10 per week and the cost is only $35!!
